A Short Range Transit Plan is the basis for making changes to a local transit system. Improving transit in Marin County is an ongoing process and Marin Transit encourages you to continue to provide feedback. As required by Measure A, we will update the Marin Transit Short Range Transit Plan every two years.

Short Range Transit Plan 2005-06

The Transit Board adopted the 2006 Short Range Transit Plan at a Public Hearing on March 20, 2006. The Short Range Transit Plan is the first transit plan that is entirely focused on local transit within Marin County. The draft plan includes a complete assessment of the current system and its riders, as well as an identification of transit needs in Marin County and alternative ways to meet those needs. The goal of the plan is to develop a financially sustainable transit system for Marin County riders that maximizes productivity and mobility for everyone who travels within the County.
